the_elyanJust watched the first episode of the new History of Scotland on BBC2, and it was splendid. The presentation is Schamanic - rather a lot of dubiously symbolic imagery and wobbly battle reconstructions in the mist - but it's a gripping story, well told. And, of course, the scenery is breath-taking.
No doubt it's available on iPlayer for those who missed it, and I await the following episodes eagerly.
