the_elyanwell, that sort of worked. Withnail and I is my supreme displacement activity, if nothing else, and is a very pleasant way to spend two hours not learning anything.
Still feeling pretty cruddy though. Work was depressing, and will become more so - and while I am leaving, that of course leaves me with a new set of problems, such as the pain of dealing with employment agents.
Life just feels more than usually pointless right now - I think being in the midst of a long notice period at a job often has that effect, because there isn't a mad rush to finish everything, but the day of release is still a long way away.
Generally speaking I haven't got too much trouble with just getting on with life, but at the moment a great deal of it seems too much like hard work.
I suspect I need to generate a Plan. But that has never been one of my strong suits (see earlier comment re getting lost).
Or I just need to damned well Cheer Up! Yes, that might be it...
