My Italian course does drift toward the surreal at times. The current chapter, for instance, taught me the correct way to ask someone:
"Do you like grapefruit"?
It's the "odd one out" questions that I really enjoy, though. For instance (translated, ofc):
i) which of the following wouldn't fit into your shopping-bag? A stamp, key, ticket, or church?
ii) Which of these wouldn't you find in the average kitchen? Sugar, milk, bread, or a funicular railway?
iii) which wouldn't you put in your tea? Milk, lemon, sugar, or a whole cooked pig?
