the_elyanWhy is Nick Kent such a revered writer on rock music, and his selected best of, "The Dark Stuff", such a seminal tome? Well, try this:
"All the way down the line, whether on his feet or on his knees, Iggy Pop would always end up giving the finger to all the itch-scratching status-seeking top dogs and their mansions because he instinctively knew that all their rooms at the top were only four more walls and one sheer drop"
There is more to journalism, even music journalism, than phrase-making. But when you can make phrases as good as that, the rest of it is a cinch.
