Nov. 5th, 2008 07:42 amHurrah for President-Elect Obama. In the age's most uncertain hour...
I had a somewhat broken night's sleep, but worth it. Woke up a few times before anything interesting had happened, then at half three UK time, by which time the BBC were showing 207-135 to Obama, and talking about it being all over (which, even though I hadn't seen the map, I figured must be the case if that didn't include the Western seaboard, where polling would have just closed). Then woke again at 5:15, just in time to catch the end of Sen Obama's acceptance speech, which sounded like quite something.
And so, we can breathe out, and hope that this man becomes what he is capable of being.
I like this morning's XKCD on the subject. Especially the rollover text (or whatever you call it).
