In the ten-minute walk home from the station this evening, I was passed by three stretch limos (one black, one white, and one pink), and a horse-drawn carriage.

Something is Going On in Ely, and judging by the main transport methods (and what I saw of the carriage's occupants) it isn't likely to be troubling the pages of the Lady...
Much ink is spilled on Britain's attitude toward the EU. For a pithy quote, try this one from the first politician to have to deal with it it as a political potentiality:

Attlee didn't say much, and what he said always got straight to the point - which is great speaking, if not necessarily great oration.
