Unless the many books I'm currently at some stage of (getting that impression yet?) is the second of Sloane Tanen's wonderful chick books - Still Bitter, More Baggage. Theoretically a semi-serious art project, these are mainly very funny vignettes on metropolitan life for the chick-about-town. As a counterpoint to the Kindly Ones, it's quite interesting.
