It occurred to me recently that the two songs on records I remember from earliest in my childhood are:

i) a drug-induced psychedelic voyage in a Dayglo vessel

and

ii) a tale of a psychotic, whose murder victims include a teacher and a judge.

This may explain a lot, not least how I was able to graduate to Tom Lehrer at the age of about 10.
